In an award ceremony held at the Gallery Restaurant on February 4, 2009, Officer David Gonçalves was nominated by his fellow Glastonbury Police officers to receive the Exchange Club's, Police Officer of the Year award. Presenting was Dr. Al Herzog, Club President.
